The auction exclusive philosophy is simply that we will be better able to serve our readers through education and transparency, giving them upfront industry “secrets” on buying and selling at auction, empowering them with the knowledge to have a successful auction experience. A. Berkeley Brown, Principal & Editor
Anson has been an auction industry professional since 2006. He served as a department manager at a regional auction house for 6 year before founding Auction Exclusive. His primary expertise is in rare books, prints, maps, historical autographs and manuscripts and he is well versed in a variety of fine and decorative arts and antiques. Anson completed his Bachelor’s degree in philosophy from George Mason University in 2005 and earned his MBA from the University of Maryland in 2009, having studied abroad in China and completing an internship for Sandhar Technologies Limited, New Delhi, India. During the day, he works as a Senior Consultant for SAP in the Washington, D. C. area, serving customers in the public and private sector.

Renee Corbino, Principal
Renee has a decade of experience in the auction industry beginning with 2003 as a senior administrator and researcher. As a supervisor of high end catalog sales, her expertise covers a broad spectrum of fine and decorative arts and antiques including: paintings, silver, ceramics, furniture, netsuke and more. Additionally she has extensive experience in estate and auction appraisals. Renee received her Bachelor’s degree with a double major in classical studies & art history from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2003. She received her Master of Decorative Arts from the Smithsonian & George Mason University.

Rebecca H. McCormick, Author
Rebecca is currently finishing her Master of Arts in History of Decorative Arts from the Smithsonian & George Mason University. She has worked as an auction cataloger working with dolls, toys, coins, military collectibles, and firearms. Rebecca has also worked in non-profit institutions including the Texas Historical Commission and The Textile Museum in Washington, D.C. She graduated summa cum laude with a BA in History and a minor in Art History from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas. Her academic interests focus on American quilts and costume. More specifically, her work looks at the social—and often gender—context of these textiles. She lives in Vienna, Virginia with her husband and their two cats.
